  1. Pictured is the "New House", over a century old in 1917 when the Goodmans bought the farm from the original Dutch settlers. Was their Verploenck? If not what? My understanding: the Verploenck settled there in the mid-17th century. The new house replaced the original house, but the barn lasted 300 years before burning around 40 years ago.
